Thank you for stopping by. First off, just so people are not mistaken, I do not trace or take photographs. I freehand my art and if I want to color it I will do so on Photoshop one layer at a time. I am flattered that people have thought otherwise, but I am just an old fashion sketch artist with a new fangled sketchpad.
I have started using a tablet now so I rarely use paper. I start by sketching out the image, then clean it up and darken the final lines, then I go to color and that is where most of my time is taken.
I am always interested in new projects. I am a versatile artist, so if you have an idea run it by me, and we will bring it to life.
I have worked on comic books, design, chapter art for novels, cartoons, as well as pin-up art.
For those of you that are curious about my real life:
Born in USA, 1977
1992-1994 Commercial Art at Sevier Valley Tech
2001-2003 Studied with Art Instruction Schools
2003-2004 Animation and Art History at Dixie College
2002-2009 Studied with the amazing Ric Estrada
I have always had a passion for art, my parents say I was drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil. I have studied art of all sorts, and try to learn from anywhere I can. Ric always told me "If you can't learn anything new about a subject, it is time to do something else". I have taken that to heart and always working on ways to make my sketches better, and I learn something new with every project.
A little history of me; I have done several careers during my adulthood. I became an Auto Mechanic due to the fact that when I was younger, I wanted to design cars. So I learned how to fix them before I could design them. I never got into designing cars, however, I made a living as a mechanic for a lot of years. I also worked on several ranches which got me into the Rodeo circuit, riding bulls. There were several years of bump, bruises and broken bones before finally hanging up my spurs. I served in the U.S Army, 3rd Brigade 2nd infantry Division Ft. Lewis for three years active duty. I discharged from active duty and served another five years in the Army Reserves. After that I became a Deputy Sheriff, served on S.W.A.T. for two years and am currently working on a retirement from law enforcement.
